Descripción
This article is based on the research focused on the redesign of the curriculum of the Institución Educativa Luis Irizar Salazar of Barbacoas, with the objective of strengthening the commercial modality. This initiative aims to improve the quality of education and to promote the development of work competencies in students. For this purpose, the qualitative paradigm was used, which is suitable for studying small groups, such as communities, schools and classrooms. From the results, it is recognized that educators play a fundamental role in the development of new ways of teaching entrepreneurship and financial and commercial areas, as well as in the way students think and act. The teacher acts in the promotion of the development of the entrepreneurial capacities of the students. In this sense, education forges the individual from his socio-cultural context, his condition and his will to build and transform the educational processes in society, hand in hand with the teacher, with the aim of facilitating the conditioning, improvement and performance of students.
