Descripción

The objective of this work was to identify the composition and structure of the vegetation cover of the Bordoncillo moor ecosystem, based on the measurement of circular plots of 20 m diameter in the same, determining the boundary of the plot and subplot. For the collection of information, we took as a basis the dasometric variables and integrated a general forest inventory in which the species of saplings, latizales, and fustals were identified. Subsequently, the corresponding procedures were applied for the diversity indicator and its importance value for each species. The ecosystem of the Bordoncillo moor, located between the departments of Nariño and Putumayo, plays an important role in the regulation of the hydrological cycle, in the supply of water for human consumption, and in the economic activities of the area; therefore, its conservation and protection are essential
