The humanization of health services is an essential characteristic, conceived as an ethical imperative. The accelerated implementation of teleconsultation by institutions during the pandemic caused by COVID-19 has highlighted the need for health professionals to be prepared to adapt to this modality of care. Therefore, the objective of this study was to describe the characteristics of the humanization of health services mediated by telemedicine in the city of Popayán. A quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional research was carried out; an online survey was applied to health professionals who perform teleconsultation in this city. The analysis led to the conclusion that medical professionals are the ones who most frequently use teleconsultation, through free access platforms on devices that are not always provided by the company, without specific training in telemedicine and humanization of teleconsultation; nevertheless, they consider it a viable and humanized option that allows them clinical follow-up and therapeutic success.
