Manifestaciones del estrés académico en estudiantes de Enfermería de la Universidad Mariana, Pasto, 2023-2024

Abstract

Stress is a phenomenon that can have an impact not only on people's mental health, but also on a physical level, since it has been shown that being subjected to high stress loads can generate generalized reactions such as insomnia, headaches, sweating, fatigue and digestive problems; situations that are apparently easy to manage but can affect a person's normal functioning.

From this perspective, a quantitative, empirical-analytical, descriptive study was proposed with the aim of determining the manifestations of academic stress in nursing students at the Universidad Mariana, Pasto 2023 - 2024 in 375 Nursing students to whom the SISCO Inventory validated for Colombia was applied.

The study found that the level of stress in Nursing students is present in a high degree; its intensity was medium-high with a predominance in the female sex
