Descripción
he approach to emotional and social skills is pertinent, specifically the management of emotions-feelings and interpersonal relationships, since these components are part of the integral development of the human being and are attributed with being responsible for a large part of the success in life of people. Thus, this research analyzes the relationship between the management of emotions-feelings and interpersonal relationships of a sample of 57 adolescents in school, obtained through a type of non-probabilistic sampling, of which 59.65% correspond to women and 40.35% to men; the average age is 15 years with a standard deviation of 0.77. Three specific objectives were raised, namely: determine the level of emotion-feelings management, identify the degree of interpersonal relationships and establish the relationship between the level of emotion-feelings management and the degree of interpersonal relationships in adolescents of an educational institution of the municipality of Pasto. This, in order to evaluate the level and degree of each variable, accepting a quantitative paradigm with an empirical-analytical approach, the type of correlational study and a non-experimental-transversal design. The TMMS-24 scale and the ERCA II inventory were used to collect information. Taking into account the Kolmogórov Smirnov normality test, the data were analyzed through Pearson’s correlation coefficient, since the variables follow a normal distribution. These findings allow us to conclude that there is a statistically significant relationship between the dimensions ‘Emotional clarity’ r (, 41), ‘Emotional repair’ r (, 52) and the variable ‘Interpersonal relationships’, with a positive direction; that is, the higher the level of management of emotions-feelings, the better the degree in interpersonal relationships are presented in the adolescents under study. The emotional attention dimension r (, 14) of the emotion-feelings management variable and the interpersonal relationships variable are not related to each other. The emotional component and life skills interpersonal relationships play an important role in the friendships that are pursued during the middle adolescence stage.
