This article reflects on the emotional impact of thesocial work students when they start the professionalpractice in the educational institutions of San Juan dePasto, so based on that, it’s possible to identify somesignificant academic and emotional elements thatcan serve as referent to the academic process thatis run at the Academy and promote a well-roundededucation. In this regard the reference were theacademic curriculum of the program, the concept ofchange as manager of crisis in human, among other concepts and epistemological approaches, which are linked to the process ofadaptation of students to the educational context of professional practice.
