Description
The main objective of this research was to contribute to the assisted creation of mind maps with semantically enriched terms by means of ontology of specific domain. As a result it was evidenced that there is a problem in the construction of conceptual mindsets by teachers and students. On the other hand, there are no IT tools that support the construction assistance. Based on the problematic, an ontological model was created that allows the suggestion of subordinate terms in the creation of mentefactos, which was tested by a prototype, and evaluated through a survey. It is possible to affirm that this is the first ontological model represented by a computer prototype. The specific domain of this research is algorithms and programming (APOII) in levels 3, 4, 5, of the book Fundamentos de programación, aprendizaje activo basado en casos (Villalobos and Casallas, 2006).
