Descripción
Objective: To determine the perception of the quality of care by those responsible for the care of children attending the Growth and Development Program at the Institución Prestadora de Servicios de Salud Indígena, Nariño, 2023. Methodology: Quantitative, observational, descriptive approach. The population consisted of 280 persons in charge of children attending the Growth and Development Program; the sample was probabilistic, corresponding to 162 persons. The SERVQUAL instrument was used to assess the quality of care. Results: The socio-demographic characteristics of all the people who participated in the study correspond to single mothers, primary education, Catholic religion and from rural areas. In the perception, negative gaps were found in the dimensions of reliability, responsiveness, safety, empathy and tangible elements, indicating dissatisfaction with the service received. Regarding the possible relationships between sociodemographic characteristics and the perception of the quality of care, a statistically significant relationship was found with the level of schooling; no relationship was observed for the other characteristics. Conclusions: Considering the different dimensions analyzed, the mothers of the children expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of care, which negatively affects the overall satisfaction.
