dc.description | The evolution of technology in higher education, from information and communication technologies (ICTs) to learning and knowledge technologies (LKT), reflects a significant change in the way the educational process is conceived and implemented. Initially, ICTs transformed access to information and improved educational communication, allowing for greater reach and efficiency. However, technological advances and new educational demands have led to a shift towards ICTs that focus not only on access to information, but also on transforming learning and teaching. Therefore, the present study aimed to analyze the transition from ICTs to LKT in higher education. Methodologically, it was based on a descriptive qualitative approach to bibliographic review. Among the main findings, it was determined that LKT promotes more interactive, personalized, and student-centered learning, emphasizing the importance of building knowledge, developing critical skills, and fostering adaptability. This shift to a pedagogical approach integrated with advanced technologies prepares students for future challenges and redefines the concept of learning in the 21st century, and promises significant improvements in the efficiency and quality of higher education. | en-US |

| pt-BR |
