The objective of this study was to strengthen the graphic representation of the myths and legends of the Vallenata culture through artistic drawing in sixth-grade students. This research was carried out under the socio-critical paradigm and the qualitative approach, within the framework of action research, based on the dynamization of three cycles: in the first, the detection and diagnosis of the research problem was carried out; in the second, the plan to solve the problem or introduce the change was elaborated; and in the third, the implementation of the plan and the evaluation of the results was carried out. The work unit consisted of 41 students. The results show the importance of deepening the objective needs of these students in order to implement novel mechanisms that contribute to the taste and enjoyment of the myths and legends of the Vallenata culture to strengthen the graphic representations. Finally, they understood and adequately expressed a wide range of emotions in their representations; they creatively used different visual elements and clearly and effectively conveyed emotional messages and narratives through their representations.
