The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between psychological well-being and suicidal ideation in 148 adolescents, aged between 15 and 18 years, with a mean age of 15.7 and standard deviation of 0.786. The methodology was quantitative, non-experimental design, with cross-sectional and correlational scope. Thus, using data from the application of Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale and the Positive and Negative Suicidal Ideation Inventory -PANSI-, Spearman’s Rho correlation showed a negative relationship. In this sense, as the level of psychological well-being increases, the level of suicidal ideation decreases, showing, in addition, differences between the sexes and the influence of socio-demographic variables. Consequently, it is essential to continue studying suicide in the young population, considering the presence of suicidal ideation in this developmental stage and its relationship with psychological well-being. It is also necessary to address social, emotional and cognitive factors, since they play a protective or risk role in the approach to the problem.
