The objective of the research was to strengthen the inference level of reading comprehension through a virtual learning environment Edmodo as a pedagogical strategy for fourth grade students. Methodologically, it was inscribed in the qualitative paradigm with a socio-critical approach in Pedagogical. Action Research, with a design developed in three phases: deconstruction, reconstruction and evaluation of the effectiveness of the practice. The work unit was 15 4th grade students. For the study, two written tests were designed as instruments, one of entry and the other of exit for the students and a general observation log. The results indicated that the students had weaknesses in understanding the information of the texts at the inferential level, so pedagogical strategies were implemented through the Edmodo platform. It was concluded that the application of the activities was effective and efficient; the students strengthened their reading comprehension at the inferential level.
