Descripción
Objective: To determine the incidence of games as a didactic strategy to improve attention in class and achieve reading and writing skills in students from Transition to fifth grade of primary school at the Escuela Rural sede Fronteriza El Paisaje, municipality of Mocoa, Putumayo. Methodology: Qualitative approach; type of action research based on the socio-critical paradigm, in order to dynamize the methods of involvement of the people who were part of the whole research process. Results: Students showed disinterest in the classes as a result of the monotony and lack of innovation in the development of the topics; therefore, they did not pay attention in class. Conclusions: The integration of topics with games made it possible to capture the students’ attention and to generate a better interest in knowledge, as evidenced by greater concentration and enjoyment of learning.
