The present work is a descriptive-correlational research, with a quantitative approach, which aims to determine if there is a relationship between the exchange rate and the flow of people, cargo and light vehicles in the cities of Tulcán in Ecuador and Ipiales in Colombia, during the period January-March 2019. The main results suggest that there is a low-moderate relationship between exchange rates and the flow of people, cargo and light vehicles. The most significant relationship was between the exchange rate and the output of small trucks (0.327).
