Cervical cancer is the second leading cause of death in the world leaving as a consequence, approximately 300,000 deaths a year. 80% of these cases occur in developing countries; although not all of them end in deaths or mutilation (radical hysterectomy) of women, the number is extremely high to be ignored. The objective of this study was to evaluate the results of the cervical cancer screening program in terms of morbidity, reliability and behavior in women treated at the Institutional Health Indigenous Mallamas in the municipality of Ipiales, department of Nariño, Colombia. The population was made up of 39,147 women registered in the IPS database. To collect the information, the instrument on Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices was used, consisting of 50 questions.
