The Objective of the research was to determine the socio demographic factors in a group of elderly in San Juan de Pasto, Colombia. The Method was quantitative, with a descriptive level; the population was made up of a group of 42 seniors selected by convenience. Socio demographic factors were assessed from the application of a survey. The results showed that the median age was 72, range 60 to 87; the largest proportion were women with 66.7%; 42.86% were married, with a predominance of incomplete primary level with 36%; women have greater economic dependence, having a primary family nucleus. The occupational activity that stands out is agriculture in men and homemaker in women. In conclusion, the socio demographic information obtained from the research involves data from other literature sources.
