Description
In this article, the results concerning the research carried out on the strengthening of reading comprehension skills in the students of the Betania Educational Center are disclosed through a didactic strategy based on image reading. A mixed methodology was used, under the qualitative-quantitative paradigm. The type of research used was action research: Diagnosis, Construction of the action plan, Application of the Action Plan and Reflection and evaluation. Information gathering techniques such as observation and diagnostic workshop were used. Subsequently, the analysis of the information allowed to develop a didactic and pedagogical strategy based on the use of images, which worked on the difficulties of understanding image reading and allowed us to provide tools to take advantage of the possibilities offered by the school space from the New School Methodology.
