The research describes the perception about the influence of the training process on the self-care of nursing students. For this, we analyzed the information from the analysis of the speech of the in-depth interviews to students participating in the Multicéntrico de la Universidad de Caldas, who fulfilled the inclusion criterion: to be students enrolled in the last semester of the race, with prior informed consent. The unit of analysis consisted of 20 students; the information was collected with the focus group of eight students, resulting that the group perceive that healthy patterns of food, physical activity and recreation are affected, which allowed to conclude that the academic load is very heavy, since many of them are parents and spouses. From the study arise the categories: - Lifestyles, - We know what we have to do, but we do not do it, which belong to the condition: Self-care.
