The research sought to establish the influence of a sexual education program on the sexual and gender role of children and adolescents (NNA, as it is known in Spanish) of a public school in San Juan de Pasto. The idea emerged from the needs expressed by teachers and managers in terms of sex education. The methodological design was inscribed in the qualitative paradigm, of social critical approach and research action type. The techniques of data collection were: participant observa-tion and the focus group interview. The results indicated that the children had conflicts in feeling, thinking and acting in front of themselves and in their role as children, as well as inappropriate behaviors and feelings to classmates and violence towards peers and in the family. It was designed and implemented a program from which new insights about them, the family and interpersonal relationships were generated.
