Descripción
This article presents the results of the research “Practices of financial education for children from private schools in San Juan de Pasto”, based on theoretical foundations of the Ministry of Education (2014), Banco de la República, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Program for International Student Assessment (PISA), among others. The aim was to characterize the financial practices of children be-tween grades 3-6, and provide an alternative educational proposal which enables meaningful and responsible learning in their personal finance, facilitating from different degrees the way forward in the formation of financial thinking and enabling transformation processes in them. About this, Singer (2002) says that schools should include in their curricula, financial issues, to permit the detection of the important role that financial education has in their personal life to face future challenges. The implemented methodology was quantitative and descriptive, in which the forms and use of money by children between grades three to six from private schools in the city of Pasto are analyzed through a structured survey format.Ítems relacionados
