This paper shows an advance in the research titled “The use of the basic thinking skills in reading-writing in English and Oral and Written expression”, carried out with teachers from Pontificia Universidad Católica in Ibarra (Ecuador). Its aim was to analyze the skills that teachers use in the pedagogic mediation, investigating the knowledge that they have of the processes of application of these skills and the management they do when developing their classes. This work is focused on the production of an offer of application, including strategies of development of intellectual and practical skills in reading-writing in a systematic, constant and conscious form.A qualitative paradigm, with a descriptive research was used, drawing on technolo-gies such as the interview, the participative observation, taking as a tool the field diary, as well as quantitative technologies used as records of check and a survey. The information was gathered, confronted and summarized based on the established goals. The results were analyzed with the target population through workshops and an advisor seminary, in order to contribute with the educational formation and to answer to the interest showed by teachers in research topics.
