Starting in the 21st century, information and communication technologies have been of great relevance in the development of activities in the school environment, mainly during the time of the pandemic caused by COVID-19, since they allowed us to continue with the processes of teaching and learning outside of the classroom. The main objective of this article is to perform a bibliographic review of studies about these technologies and education in times of pandemic; for this, 30 authors were consulted in different databases. The analysis carried out allows us to conclude that, although there are not enough technological resources in most rural or difficult-to-access areas, nor internet networks to supply all educational establishments, these technologies are useful to encourage students to search for information, interact with their peers and teachers, communication, obtaining learning and understanding of the topics consulted, based on the different ways in which the information is found.
