The Office of the Vice Rector for Integral Human Development, the University Welfare Office and the Recreation and Sports Department, committed to the organization and development of strategies that favor the permanence of students, the quality of life and the well-being of people, have implemented the competitive and representative sports project, which contributes significantly to the integral formation of students. This strategy has made it possible to create spaces for meeting and sports integration, not only for the university community, but also with other higher education institutions. For this reason, the higher education institutions of the department of Nariño, through their sports coordinators, Master Victor Hugo Males of the Universidad Mariana, specialists Germán Enríquez of the Universidad CESMAG and Geovanny Cortez of the Universidad de Nariño, the university graduates Jairo Timarán of the Universidad Cooperativa and Carlos Chirán of the Corporación Autónoma de Nariño, were responsible for the planning and development of the university games, both in the departmental and regional phases.
