RELACIÓN ENTRE EL AUTOCONCEPTO Y EL CONSUMO DE ALCOHOL EN ESTUDIANTES DE LA INSTITUCIÓN EDUCATIVA MUNICIPAL CIUDAD DE PASTO

Abstract

El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar la relación entre el consumo de alcohol y el autoconcepto en los estudiantes de noveno y décimo grado de la Institución Educativa Municipal Ciudad de Pasto, llevando a cabo un estudio cuantitativo utilizando dos instrumentos: el CRAFFT adaptado para Colombia, que evalúa el nivel de consumo de alcohol, y el cuestionario AF-5, que mide el autoconcepto en cinco dimensiones: social, académica, familiar, física y emocional. Los resultados revelaron un nivel muy bajo de consumo de alcohol en la población estudiada, sin embargo, el 6% de la población presentaba dependencia. Además, se encontró una correlación negativa entre el consumo de alcohol y las dimensiones familiar y académica, y no hubo correlación con las dimensiones social, emocional y física.

The objective of this research was to analyze the relationship between alcohol consumption and self-concept among ninth and tenth-grade students at the Institución Educativa Municipal Ciudad de Pasto. Carrying out a quantitative study using two instruments: the CRAFFT adapted for Colombia, which assesses the level of alcohol consumption, and the AF-5 questionnaire, which measures self-concept in five dimensions: social, academic, family, physical and emotional. The results revealed a very low level of alcohol consumption in the studied population; however, 6% of the population displayed signs of dependence. Furthermore, a negative correlation was found between alcohol consumption and the family and academic dimensions, and there was no correlation with the social, emotional and physical dimensions.
