The objective of this research is to characterize the procedural methodological research competencies of teachers of the Health Services Administration Program from the Fundación Universitaria Catolica del Sur, since expertise is of great importance in the production of research, even more in higher education since it constitutes one of the fundamental pillars of the institutional mission. This was approached from quantitative paradigm, with an analytical empirical approach, being descriptive in turn, the data collection was carried out by means of the survey technique and the selected instrument was a knowledge test applied to the entire population. The data analysis was performed under the non-parametric technique known as median. It was found as a result that the procedural methodological research competencies of the group of teachers, according to their median, is located in the deficient category; therefore a training plan was designed for its strengthening, consisting of 8 lessons, each of them presents a didactic strategy based on the use of ICT, in general terms consisted in the design using digital tools available on the Internet, presentation, templates, interactive whiteboards and infographics for the development of each lesson; The total duration of the training plan is 48 hours, 16 face-to-face hours with the assistance of the mediator and 32 hours of autonomous work.
