The group for the care of patients with chronic disease participated in the Network meeting, in the framework of the XXII International Seminar of Care held at the National University of Colombia, in October, where the node of the Mariana University, Nursing program He had the opportunity to report on the activities carried out in this field, regarding the approach of chronic patients and their caregivers. In addition, we attended a workshop of great relevance to the professional of Nursing, called Holistic Nursing, dictated by María Soledad Abad, nurse midwife, master in Reiki, director of the Center for Complementary Therapies Casa Bambu and professor at the Catholic University of Chile. In this aspect, it is included concomitantly to the treatment that the human being has, the inclusion of complete therapies, which are recognized by the WHO and that are of vital importance to take them into account in the curricula of the students in health areas.
