Law 1562 of 2012 establishes that "public and private entities are intended to prevent, protect and assist workers from the effects of diseases and accidents that may occur on occasion or as a result of the work they perform" (sp) , fulfilling the function of ensuring the physical, social and mental well-being of the worker; In the same way, the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification (2009) is responsible for the reproduction of technical standards and the certification of quality standards for companies and professional activities, including NTC 5693-1, "which specifies the recommended limits for manual lifting and transport, taking into account, respectively, the intensity, frequency and duration of the task "(p.1); NTC 5693-2, presents "the recommended limits for pushing and pulling with the whole body" (p.1) and NTC 5693-3, "establishes ergonomic recommendations for repetitive work tasks involving the manual handling of light loads at high frequency, (...) in this way allows the evaluation of the risks related to the health of the working population "(p.1); therefore, the practitioners of the occupational therapy program collaborated in the week of health and safety at work carried out at Mariana University with the support of Rectoría y Gestión Humana, on May 16, 17 and 18, 2018, event was of great relevance, because in addition to the students of occupational therapy, there was participation in other programs, where activities focused on the prevention, promotion and welfare of the entire working and student population of the university were developed.
