Description
The objective of this research was to evaluate if there was a difference or not between the results of the components: Communication, Reasoning and Resolution of the test ‘Avancemos in mathematics 2018’, obtained by the eighth-grade students in the General Educational Institution Santander of the municipality of Soacha-Cundinamarca. An intra-subjects or repeated measures design was handled. For the study, the ANOVA was used for repeated measures to analyze if there is contrast of means for related data (dependent or paired). From the statistical analysis of the data applying the ANOVA, it was observed that the p-value of the test is equal to 0.009 to determine that the overall results of each student were not the same in each component evaluated in the test. From the statistical analysis of the data of the results, it was possible to show that these were not favorable for each student, since the average of responses was below 3, of 24 questions, in each component evaluated.
