The present research process was born from the need to strengthen interpersonal relationships between students of the transition degree of the La Laguna Municipal Educational Institution in the municipality of Pitalito, department of Huila, recognizing that they directly affect coexistence in the classroom directly; therefore, improving it is an urgent requirement of the educational community. The research was based on the qualitative paradigm with a social critic approach. The state of interpersonal relationships between children was identified through observation, a technique with which it was also possible to determine different aspects that affect them. With the results obtained, a didactic sequence based on play was designed and implemented that would make it possible to fulfill the proposed objective by enhancing social skills such as empathy, conflict resolution, control of emotions and values such as respect and cooperation. This significantly contributed to the integral development of the children, and also to the establishment of interpersonal relationships mediated by assertiveness; likewise, it promoted integration among students, fostered a climate of peace in the classroom and favored student learning.
