Description

The research was aimed to establish the relationship between coping and thought styles of the police administrative area of the Nariño department, based on a quantitative paradigm, analytical and correlational-type empirical approach, with non-experimental transverse design. The population corresponded to 70 police officers. The information collection was carried out by applying two instruments: The Coping with Stress Questionnaire and the Survey for the Comprehensive Diagnosis of Brain Dominance.The results indicate an accentuated use of the following coping styles: focused on solving the problem, search for support and positive reassessment. It was also found that there is a marked score in Quadrant B (organized). Finally, through the statistical program SPSS it was found that there exists a very weak or non-existent correlation between this variable.
