DOI: https://doi.org/10.31948/rev.criterios/25.2-art6 Cervical cancer (CCU) is a public health problem in the world, in which Colombia presents an occurrence of the second place. This study evaluated the impact of screening results for cervical cancer in users of a health institution in Tumaco, Colombia. The study initially analyzed passive documents of 16,513 women registered in a health institution in Tumaco, Colombia, through sociodemographic, clinical and monitoring characteristics. Likewise, in a cross-sectional manner, it evaluated the impact of the program on a population of 363 women with and without infection, through a CAP-P instrument. Results showed that, it is a vulnerable population that does not know the HPV infection, and has inadequate practices and perceptions that have led to the presence of ASCUS, HPV, CIN I, II, III and AGC.
