Description

This paper characterizes the contexts in pedagogical and educational research in San Juan de Pasto for the years 2005 - 2011 with the purpose to describe, identify and determine spaces in which the researches have been conducted in undergraduate and graduate levels. A qualitative methodology with a hermeneutic approach was followed. For data analysis we used the procedure proposed by Professor Fernando Vasquez Rodriguez, called “distill the information”; the process was developed based on the information organized in a document from results, subject of this study. According to the results, there is a gap to access the different researches in universities Mariana and CESMAG. University of Nariño for its part, has made a greater impact as much for producing research at different levels of undergraduate, graduate and groups research, as in classify it, systematize it and make it accessible to the public. It also discusses the components of population and institution that different investigators have worked in their field.
