The present text constitutes a reflexive approximation around the concepts ofdeath instinct, violence, antisocial behavior, event and repetition, as a result of the professorial investigation called: Death drive and antisocial behavior in an internal group of INPEC – Pasto.The referred research, which is a pre-text for the present article, was developed based on a qualitative paradigm from a hermeneutic approach and complemented with the application of quantitative data collection instruments.In this context, the article intends to establish a conceptual - epistemological basis for revealing some of the openings in the social bond, being violence, the main referent associated with the great tensions that exist in the relationsbetween the subjects.In conceptual development, we can observe an interweaving with contributions from philosophy, psychology and psychoanalysis, where violence is a transitory concept from which the other links are deployed. For purposes of contextualization, we start with the definition made by the O.M.S. (2002) on violence, which takes into account self-aggressiveness and hetero-aggressiveness, through the intentional use of physical force or power, with significant consequences on the life of a person, a group or a community.
