Description
The present article presents data obtained in the research project called: “Theteaching identity of the teachers of the Colegio de Bachilleres de Chiapas”. Itanalyzes the reasons why teachers have chosen to enter and continue in theteaching profession, as well as the degree of motivation with which theyperform, some ideas about the teaching profession and the training needs theyhave today. A quantitative exploratory study was carried out, with a transversaldesign, and an intentional non-probabilistic sampling was implemented.The data obtained from a survey adapted to the higher level in which we focushave allowed us to visualize and interpret how identity is constructed in animportant group of teachers constantly exposed to changes in educationalpolicies, social phenomena and technological development.
