Description

The objective of this study was to strengthen parents’ participation in the teachingand learning process of fourth-grade students at the Rosa Jaimes Barrera Educational Institution, Sede 27 de Marzo. It was inscribed in the post-positivist paradigm, in the socio-critical approach, with the method of participatory actionresearch that occurred through the detection and diagnosis of the problem, the elaboration of the plan to introduce the change, the evaluation of results, and the feedback. The work unit was 20 parents and 20 students. The instruments applied were a questionnaire, a log, and a rubric. Parents were able to participate and discover the importance of cooperating in the teaching and learning process. It is concluded that parents became aware that their participation and responsibility are essential to ensure that their children learn significantly.
