The objective of the study was to analyze the evaluative practice of teachers at the basic secondary levels at the Ciro Pupo Martínez Educational Institution in the municipality of La Paz of the department of Cesar, Colombia. Methodologically, it was located in the qualitative paradigm, under the socio-critical approach in the action research that was developed in the description of the problem situation, construction of the theoretical bases, methodological design - fieldwork, analysis, and interpretation of the instruments, implementation of the proposal, final analysis, recommendations, and conclusions. The work unit was eight teachers. A semi-structured questionnaire, a field diary, and a checklist were used to collect information. It was concluded that teachers are aware of their role, called to transform educational scenarios through the adoption of innovative tools, supported by teaching action circles with a methodology that improves their pedagogical practice and integrates them as a team.
