Description
The objective of the research was to implement a strategic intervention for the formation of environmental culture through the action of ecological groups in the Educational Institution Consuelo Araujo Noguera, in Valledupar, Cesar. It was framed in the qualitative paradigm, under the reflexive critical approach and its design was developed within the pedagogical action research. The unit of analysis consisted of 114 seventh grade students and 70 guardians. The results indicated that the intervention was able to recover the environment of the institution and the community, thanks to the action of the ecological groups. It was concluded that it was possible to foster an environmental culture in those involved in the educational process, and that the action of the ecological groups was essential to transform the reality of environments trapped by solid waste and deforested, into healthy environments, preserving the life of the earth and the health of all those involved.
