Review article. Philosophy for Children is, in the first instance, a program that contains great novelty to involve critical and creative thinking in childhood, establishing the basis for subsequent learning and for personal and social enrichment. It is common to hear that philosophy is only for the wise and that it develops in maturity; however, if the child is given the possibility to explore his abilities from an early age, he will begin to experience a long road of innumerable satisfactions.The method used was the documentary analysis, through the collection of information by categorical matrices and direct sources related to the theme of the article. The problem question addressed by the study is: How does the Philosophy for Children program arouse creativity and critical thinking in children?, from which the theories of Matthew Lipman, De Bono and Dewey are addressed.
