This research aimed to identify the factors that most affect in late attrition in eighth, ninth and tenth semester students of Universidad de la Costa, in 2017. Materials and Method: as starting point, the interactional theory was used that includes academic, individual, institutional and socioeconomic factors. Two instruments were used in 143 students to correlate dropout and non-graduation factors. Results and conclusions: through the explanatory and factorial analysis, we identified the strongest determinants that affect the dropout and non-graduation of the population, whose results confirm the joint impact of the socioeconomic, individual, academic and institutional factors on dropout and graduation, an additional incentive for the design of truly integral strategies for its prevention.
