Description

The main objective of the project was the construction of intercultural senses of women that contribute to the construction of peace, as social responsibility of higher education institutions in the municipality of Pasto, which was achieved through an intercultural dialogue with students of four population groups (peasant, indigenous, afro and mestizo), attached to the main universities of this municipality (University of Nariño, University Institution CESMAG, Mariana University and National Open and Distance Learning University, UNAD). The research took up relevant theoretical elements related to women, culture, modernity, interculturality, peace and higher education. The study was approached from the qualitative point of view, supported by a critical/complex method and supported by information gathering techniques such as: documentary review, focus groups, self-eco-biographies, and semi-structured interviews.The results obtained were analyzed and interpreted in the light of the dialogical hermeneutics, which allowed to reach new thoughts and processes of decoloniality of the concept of woman and the construction of intercultural senses that are the basis for the recognition of the diversity of contexts, representations and senses of the population groups that coexist and interact there daily. In addition, the results obtained become a reference for eventual public policies, plans, programs and projects carried out by the different local, regional and national entities that work around this component and the articulation of the University - State - Region triad.
