Description

Nowadays, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a new way of approaching organizations, and of having a little awareness or respect towards the different media or environments in which they develop their business activities. Apart from this it can be mentioned that, although there is not a large number of organizations belonging to the secondary sector, which is responsible for transforming the raw material into a final good, there is a large number of small and medium enterprises of the primary sector in the Amazonian region, which make activities such as the extraction of wood, coal, fish, cattle production, among others, that harm all the biodiversity of the Colombian Amazon. The present article is a qualitative and descriptive methodological approach, since the aim was to characterize the impact of CSR in the Colombian Amazon by small and medium enterprises.
