Higher education institutions (HEIs) are entities in charge of providing knowledge in an integral way, and of participating in the research processes whose main purpose is to generate social transformations and contribute to the cultural, social and economic sectors, among others. For this reason they serve as support to organizations to make improvements in their guidelines, mainly in the processes of structuring of organizational protocols and policies because these entities generally do not carry out an adequate process and update of these two elements.The main purpose of the research is to solve the following question: What is the role of higher education institutions in the restructuring of organizations’ protocols and policies?, highlighting the need for organizations to work on protocols based on improving the well-being and quality of life of subjects, rather than productivity.
