The proposal offers to consolidate the system of monitoring and control of vehicular mobility in real time for the city of Pasto, as a starting point for a megaproject of urban traffic control. In essence, the proposed system works with hybrid radio / satellite-based communication technology, exploiting the capabilities of global positioning systems, plus the latest service-oriented application development technology, Web 2.0 + Data Warehouse / Business IntelligenceThe proposal of computational solution is the result of the work of a research of quantitative paradigm, of empirical-analytical approach and of experimental type, realized in the context of this city addressing the phenomenon of mobility in the service of public transport, microbus system. The solution allows establishing the main source of information of the phenomenon through the real-time monitoring at prototype level in a sample of urban buses belonging to the strategic transport system of the city.
