The completion of the comparative study of the socioeconomic situation of the actors in the different links in the dairy chain in Nariño department stems from the interest existing on the productive chains, being key elements in the world today. To meet the objective the importance of productive chains was determined, analysis of the socioeconomic profile of the actors, followed by the dialog variables to identify those with the most influence, and finally to present a parallel between the results of research and other theories. The methodology assumed was the quantitative paradigm, with analytical and descriptive empirical approach. Among the most visible results, it was found that primary producers keep a difficult socio-economic situation, while processors and marketers share best features. It is concluded that the productive chain should be strengthened to improve the quality of life of actors and enable their integration into the development process.
