Qualitative research aimed at building a culturally relevant curriculum in the community of San Cipriano, protective forest reserve in the Educational Institution Jose Maria Cordoba, Buenaventura, Colombia. The discussion about the possibility of redirecting the training process to work on educational projects integrators retakes the cultural experience of those who make the educational community; how it is expe-rienced in practice and its consequences in specific training processes, in which knowledge is recreated. In the present text it is considered that the educator does cultural mediation; it discerns about the history of the collective subject of study and what has determined the look of culture of the people who “is addressed” the education.
