The present article gives a brief description of the knowledge management import, emphasizing the information technology (IT) incorporation in Higher Education, highlighting its evolution and identifying some of the actors and the IT skills that are added to their work of learning and teaching. It examines the possibilities offered by IT in university education today. Finally it concludes with its importance and contribution to Higher Education.
