Resumen
This investigation addresses the exiting tension between two elements: the interest of Colombia in oil and the existence of native people. The first one is analyzed from the critical political economy, which allows to contrast different views about natural resources. The existence of the native people develops from the category of societal security. This one allows to understand the threats to ethnic survival derived from oil activity. The project was done from a qualitative paradigm, with the case study of Cofan People as a research method. First, the study allows to evidence the contradiction between human paradigms based on nature, territory and culture.
