Abstract

ABSTRACT: The transformations of the global economy, accentuated by financial crises such as the one in 2008, demand greater efficiency and competitiveness from companies and, in particular, from their managers. However, many organizations face structural difficulties due to their leaders' lack of financial knowledge, which limits sound decision-making and strategic resource management. This lack generates liquidity problems and increases the risk of bankruptcy, being one of the central factors in business failure, especially in relation to working capital management. Given this situation, higher education institutions play a fundamental role in training professionals capable of facing current financial challenges. However, limitations persist in university teaching processes, such as a lack of awareness of learning styles and insufficient preparation in practical skills and competencies, factors that hinder the comprehensive training required to respond to the demands of the business environment.
