cognitivas, emocionales, psicosociales y familiares.
Abstract: The research project was conducted with patients diagnosed with Helicobacter pylori in the city of San Juan de Pasto, Nariño. Its objective was to determine the factors that influence their quality of life, considering medical, cognitive, emotional, psychosocial and family dimensions. Based on the quantitative paradigm and an empirical-analytical approach, it useda cross-sectional design and psychometric techniques such as the MOCA scale, DASS-21, the MOS social support questionnaire and the family APGAR scale. The study population was characterized by having several protective factors: access to health services, affiliation to an EPS, income between 1 and 3 current minimum wages, and strong social and instrumental support outside the family nucleus. These elements contributed to partially mitigate the negative impact of the infection on their quality of life, despite the affectations in specific dimensions such as gastrointestinal symptoms, cognitive impairment and family dysfunction. Thus, the importance of strengthening social and institutional support networks, as well as implementing comprehensive interventions that address medical and emotional factors, to ensure better well-being in patients with this condition is highlighted.
