Resumen
The township of Roma Chávez in Sandoná faces severe vulnerability due to mass
movements, such as landslides, rockfalls, and toppling, necessitating the implementation of
effective slope stabilization strategies through containment works. To address this challenge,
a combined approach is proposed, integrating multitemporal analysis with LiDAR (Light
Detection and Ranging) technology. This approach enables an understanding of terrain
evolution and the influence of various factors over time, while LiDAR technology provides
detailed three-dimensional data to identify risk areas and critical points. This combination
offers a deep understanding of the challenges and lays the foundation for effective and
sustainable intervention strategies. The research aims to promote the use of LiDAR
technology in the region, highlighting its application in high-precision topographic surveys,
which is key to creating the digital terrain model (DTM). Moreover, since the municipality

of Sandoná is highlyvulnerable to landslides, the outcome of this technology will be used to
analyze the stability of a slope in the Roma Chávez township within this municipality
